CMSC Racing has implemented a new registration process. This process uses an online form for the club
Race Chairs to register their racers.
The form is tied to an online database where the racers for each club
are maintained and all registration information will be stored on the database.
Upon completion of the registration the registration form
can be printed to your local printer and saved to the database. You can fill out the registration data in
advance but the completed registration can only be submitted during the week
prior to the race. The race submission
will send an email to the CMSC Racing mailbox and a copy to your email for your
records.
The web
link for the CMSC Race Registration is http://www.footeware.com/CMSCRace.
You will be provided
with a User Name and an initial password to connect to the system. The user name and password are case sensitive
so be sure to enter them correctly and click on the Sign In button to log
on. If there need to notify you of
information about the system or the upcoming race you will see it displayed
below the Important Message on the sign on screen.
Your
name and club are displayed on the menu screen.
This is the screen you will return to if you click on the Menu link at
the bottom of the window. Below your club’s
name would be any message we had entered specifically for your club.
The
navigation for the menu will appear to the left side of the window. The primary application is Race Registration where you select the
races and the racers who will be registered for those races.
There
is also an Update Your Info selection
to update your name, password, phone, and email address. On your first login you should go to this page
and select a new password and verify your email address. The phone number is for reference in case we
need to contact you regarding a question on your submission.
The Update My Info page contains information specific to
your user name. When changing your
password if will be not be displayed in the field. You will be required to enter it again in the
Verify Password box. If you do not enter
the identical password in both boxes it will return you to the password
box. You can use the tab key or the
mouse to move between boxes on the form.
Please
verify that your name and email address is entered correctly as this will be
used for submitting your race registration.
Clicking
on the Submit button at the bottom will save your changes and return you to the
main menu. You do not need to enter a
password on this screen. If no new
password is entered, your current password will remain unchanged.
The Race
Selection page displays the races and allows selection of the races to register
for. I have modified the dates of the
races as an illustration for testing purposes.
By default, the races for the current week will have the Selected box
checked. If you check a box for a race
that is not currently selected, it will display a checkbox for that race and
any other races for that weekend. This
is to insure that all submissions include the registration for all races for
the weekend.
If
you click on a box that has a checkmark, that race and all races for that
weekend will be unselected. Selecting a
race for a different weekend will also cause any races for a different weekend
to be unselected.
The
status of each race will be shown in the Status column. Races can have any of the following status
values:
I
have split the screen image into 2 parts – Racer Registration and Qualifiers.
The
Racer Registration page has a column for each race you selected, a column for
selecting the racers who are available to work, and a column for any comments
for that racer. Each racer who has
already qualified for your club will be listed on the form. Any member of the committee will have an *
after the name. These racers will not
have a Work checkbox as they will already have work assignments.
The
racers will appear in sequence by their race class which is in the default
order that the classes start. Check the
boxes for each race that the racer is to be registered for. For the Bristol Combined race only, all three
races will automatically be checked when selecting a racer for any one of the
races.
Check
the Work box for a racer if that racer is to be assigned for a work assignment
by the registrar. If there are any
restrictions for this racer or any notes for the registrar regarding the racer
you may enter the comments in the Notes box.
You can enter up to 250 characters in the Notes field for each
racer. The full notes will be displayed
when submitting or printing the form.
Below
the list of racers a count of the racers selected to be registered for each
race and a count of the total workers will be displayed. This count is automatically updated as you
select or unselect racers.
Snowboarders
will appear at the bottom of the list.
There will only be a checkbox for each snowboard race for any
snowboarders. For the Bristol Combined
races the snowboarder names will not appear.
If a racer is both a skier and a snowboarder their name will appear in
both the skiing class and the snowboarding class on the form.
Below the totals for
registered racers is a section for entering qualifiers and additional notes for
the registrar.
For
qualifiers you must select the class which they are qualifying in. This is the group the qualifiers race
with. AQ qualifiers race with Group I
and include the Super Senior Vets class (SSV).
CCQ qualifiers race with Group III and include Senior Vets class (SV). SBQ are snowboard qualifiers. Please check the Vet box for any racers who will
be qualifying to a vet class.
Enter
the qualifier’s full name in the format Last, First. You do not need to enter the SB- in the
snowboarder name. Select the sex
(Male/Female) of the qualifier and check each race they are to be registered
for. The racers who qualify will
automatically appear in the list of your club’s racers the week after they have
qualified.
Enter
any additional comments for the registrar in the Notes box. You can enter up to 2000 characters
here. All of the notes will appear on
the printed registration and the email to the registrar.
Click
on the Save Race Registration to save the data to the database. If you cancel or close the page without
clicking on the Save button all of your entries will be lost. The Print button will open your printer
dialog box to select the print options but will NOT save the data. There is
also a Print button on the Submit page.
The Submit
page is an image of what will be included in the email to the registrar. You may not change any information on this
page. It is a confirmation of what was
entered on the previous page.
The
message that appears at the top and bottom of this form will depend on the date
of the race and whether the registration was already submitted. Since you will only be allowed to submit your
registration for the current week’s races, you will not see the Submit Race
Registration button unless the race is during the current week.
All
of your saved data will be stored online so you can enter the data in advance
and save the form. Then, during the week
of the race, the Submit button will be displayed. When you click the Submit button your
registration will be emailed to the registrar and you will receive a copy also.
If
you have already submitted your registration and need to make changes, we ask
that you call the Race Registrar to let them know you are resubmitting so they can discard the
old file before importing the data into the race computer database.
The
Print button will open your printer dialog to select the print options. We suggest that you keep a printed copy of
the registration form and save the copy of the email for your records.
When
you click the Submit Race Registration button you will see the following page
indicating your registration has been successfully submitted.
